I'm Catherine. I've worked on an organic farm in rural France, coordinated farm tours in Philly, stuffed my face as a cheesemonger in Massachusetts, and studied food in just about every way possible while getting my Masters in Food Culture and Communications at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.

I launched and edited Edible DC magazine, part of the James Beard award-winning network of local food magazines from Edible Communities, before moving to Paris.

I’m a freelance food, humor, and travel writer who has written for The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Eater, The Food Network, McSweeney’s, and Tasting Table, among others. Currently, I'm at work on a book of essays.

I write, eat, and live in Paris, but head back to my native New England whenever possible.
